Who’s that guy…

Until 2018 I had never picked up a camera. I was teaching at a high school and was placed in front of an elective photography class of students who undoubtedly knew more than I did. I had no concept focal length, composition or how to change a lens as I awkwardly forced a 50mm f/1.8 on an old Canon camera before a student said “you have to line the red dots up sir”.

I would never have thought three years on that I’d have my own photography business and be capturing incredible images and sharing the experiences of so many great people.

I’ve packed so much knowledge in my head throughout this time and just keep wanting to learn more, pass on this passion to others and continue with this incredible craft.

Lens Head

Attaching a lens to a scuba helmet is not recommended, but it makes for a pretty stylish logo.

The moment I really clicked with photography was that one afternoon while watching a YouTube video explaining the importance of the lens. The difference each lens could make for expressing artistic ideas and communicating stories blew my mind and was such a key turning point in my dive into photography.

The old scuba helmet fulfills my love for vintage wares and antiques. I’m like a bower bird for anything brass or tan leather.

So why not combine the two? It sums me up pretty well and looks impractically good.
